Thank you for your interest with HIDE | MONTAGU. Upon acceptance of your reservation the following conditions are applicable:

1. Deposit
   • Confirmation of your reservation is upon receipt of your deposit. The balance of payment is due 30 days before arrival. There is no deposit payable, however damaged and/or breakages may be claimed if necessary.
2. Arrival time
   • This is regarded as between 14:00 and 17:00 (unless prior arrangement has been made).
3. Departure time
   • This is 10:00 (unless prior arrangement has been made).
4. The Deposit and Cancellation Policy
   • If booking directly with “us” (e.g. via an EFT to our bank account), and not via a third party platform such as Airbnb, NightsBridge, LekkerSlaap, etc., our policy is as follows:
     • More than 30 days before stay date: 100% is payable, and fully refundable.
     • Less than 30 days before stay date: 100% is payable, and 0% refundable.
     • No cancellations or changes to bookings for December/January and school holidays after 1 September
   • Full payment for December/January school holidays is required by 1 September.
   • Late arrivals or early departures will not be refunded.
   • All cancellations or postponements must be in writing in an email to stay@hidemontagu.co.za
   • Only one postponement will be allowed per reservation. The postponement request should be made at least 30 days before the stay date.
   • We reserve the right to cancel any booking where payment has not been made within the time specified, and we are allowed to use the deposit to recover the cost of the loss of income should guests not pay the balance of their booking on the due dates stipulated above.
   • We reserve the right to cancel any booking for urgent and emergency maintenance, or where there are circumstances that are out of our control e.g. water or electricity outages
   • If there is a water outage or electricity outage, the guest may request a 25% discount per night that the outage exists for longer than 6 hours. However full discounts or refunds are not given.
5. Guests
   • Accommodation is provided for 4 guests.
   • Management must be notified should any day or night–visitors enter the Le Domaine Eco Reserve gates and make use of the accommodation or estate facilities. Any day-visitors must depart before 22:00.
6. Safety & Security
   • HIDE | MONTAGU celebrates the fact that there is very little crime in the area. However, we cannot accept responsibility for the safety or security of personal property such as cameras, laptops, jewellery etc. This is for the tenant’s own insurance.
   • We are not responsible for any injury to guests or theft of their property.
7. Rules
   • Sound levels are to be maintained within an acceptable level, with a music-off policy after 22:00 to respect the other residents and tenants on the estate. The area is in in a nature reserve which is conducive to peace and relaxation and we trust that you respect this request and consider neighbours and other guests at accommodation facilities in the vicinity. This house is not a party venue as we respect our neighbours, If you wish to book for a party please advise.
   • Children must be supervised at all times, whether whilst swimming or not. We are not responsible for their safety or supervision. We also expect that you will supervise children in terms of respecting the establishment’s furniture, fittings and all aspects of the entertainment area.
   • Any breakages, damages or removal of contents of the property shall be for your expense. If necessary, please notify us on departure of your awareness of any aforementioned irregularities or malfunctioning equipment that you may have used.
   • No smoking is permitted inside the house. If you smoke inside the house you will be charged a R1500 cleaning fee in respect of curtain and furniture cleaning costs, etc.
   • The pool is on an automatic system. Do not to tamper with the pool pump and pool equipment.
   • No motorised sport or craft are allowed on the Montagu Dam, however we do have a two person fishing kayak available for your use at no charge.
   • Unfortunately, no non-resident pets are allowed at the accommodation since this is the policy of the Le Domaine Eco Reserve.
8. Indemnity
   • Right of admission is reserved.
   • Guests attend HIDE | MONTAGU and HIDE VENTURES (PTY) LTD, and enter at their own risk.
   • Guests indemnify HIDE | MONTAGU and HIDE VENTURES (PTY) LTD against any claims arising from their stay, regardless of the cause.
   • HIDE | MONTAGU and HIDE VENTURES (PTY) LTD, its agents, and employees shall not be liable for any theft, injury, loss, or damage incurred by guests, including loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings. Guests hereby indemnify HIDE | MONTAGU and HIDE VENTURES (PTY) LTD against any loss or damage to their property.
   • Guests indemnify HIDE | MONTAGU and HIDE VENTURES (PTY) LTD and its agents against acts or omissions not related to gross negligence.
   • The accommodation is situated within a natural eco reserve. Within the reserve, there is an open, natural dam with unrestricted access. Additionally and similarly, there is a splash pool that remains uncovered upon guests’ arrival on the accommodation premises. It is important to note that children who cannot swim are strictly prohibited from accessing the accommodation. Prior to guests’ arrival, the pool cover is removed for their convenience. It is the responsibility of the guest(s) to inform HIDE | MONTAGU and HIDE VENTURES (PTY) LTD if they wish to have the pool cover placed over the pool. Furthermore, guests are required to remove and securely cover the pool as needed. HIDE | MONTAGU and HIDE VENTURES (PTY) LTD strongly insists that the pool cover be utilized whenever the pool is not in use by competent adults who are capable of swimming and supervising children.
   • The use of facilities and equipment, including the premises’ natural surroundings, is at the guest’s own risk, and HIDE | MONTAGU and HIDE VENTURES (PTY) LTD is absolved of responsibility for any resulting injury, damage, illness, or death, including but not limited to injuries from falling and snake bites.
   • Visitors to and guests of HIDE | MONTAGU and HIDE VENTURES (PTY) LTD acknowledge and accept risks associated with the premises and activities, including but not limited to falling hazards and encounters with wildlife, including snakes and snake bites.
   • Visitors indemnify HIDE | MONTAGU and HIDE VENTURES (PTY) LTD against any consequences, including loss, injury, or harm, arising from their visit or participation in activities.
   • Legal costs will be charged at attorney & own client scale in case of litigation.
   • Guests consent to the jurisdiction of the local court in case of litigation.
   • Guests are responsible for payment of all costs related to their accommodation.
   • Cancellation fees apply according to specified terms.
   • Rates are subject to change without notice.
